Il mio cuore, Kim Dong Myeung

Il mio cuore

Il mio cuore è un lago.
Tu, vieni da me remando.

Io, abbracciando la tua ombra bianca,
mi frantumerò davanti alla tua prua come giada.

Il mio cuore è una candela.
Tu, chiudi quella porta.

mi esaurirò nel silenzio fino all’ultima goccia.

My heart”
    by Dong-Myung Kim
English translation by Myung-Ho Lee, MD, FACC

Feel a lake in my heart, dearest, and
    Come roar over to me.
I would, holding your white shadow in my bosom,
As jadestone, burst myself at the front of your boat.

Feel a candle light in my heart, dearest, and
Could you please close that door.
Shaking on shreds of your silken garment, silently
Till the last drop, I would burn out myself.

Feel a wanderer in my heart, dearest, and
Could you please play your lute tune for me.
Listening under the moon, all alone,
I would spend my night through.

Feel a fallen leaf in my heart, dearest, and
Allow me to stay briefly in your garden.
Now with the rising wind, as a wanderer,
Forlornly, I would be leaving you again.
